Meridian has many definitions, including a reference to the “greatest period of prosperity, splendor, and success.” It also refers to the heavens and astronomy, as well as the “middle path” or razor’s edge that is the pathway to God and realization. Sky is limitless and ethereal, the home of gods, saints, and divine beings. We wanted to invoke all of these qualities, thus we arrived at Meridian Sky.
The logo’s imagery shows little white blossoms falling from the sky along with a scattering of leaves. The blossoms are “parijata”, a fragrant, night-blooming jasmine from India. This flower is considered to be auspicious because these are the blooms that fell like blessings from God, from the heavens to mortals on Earth. We also show two branches under the logotype. On the left is a branch of bay leaves which symbolizes victory and immortality – thus bringing success and longevity to our customers and Meridian Sky. On the right is a branch of parijata jasmine which symbolizes beauty, love, and divine happiness. Both bay and jasmine leaves are falling from the heavens along with the white jasmine. It is our hope that by using traditional and auspicious imagery, we will invoke good fortune and blessings for us at Meridian Sky as well as for those who use our products.
